Tim Igbokwe is a recent graduate of the University of Windsor with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. During his undergraduate program, Tim dedicated himself to inspiring the next generation through science education. His commitment was evident by his significant contributions to Let’s Talk Science, where he served both as a former volunteer and current coordinator. Seeking to expand his impact on the community, Tim eagerly took on the role of student chair for the Science Rendezvous Windsor event in both 2023 and 2024.

Michelle Bondy, the faculty advisor for Science Rendezvous Windsor, says Tim has played a key role in bringing the event back to UWindsor after the pandemic. “The 2023 Science Rendezvous event was the first we were able to host in-person on our campus since 2019. Tim recruited and led a fantastic student organizing committee to relaunch Science Rendezvous Windsor. Their hard work paid off and it was a great success. Tim stayed on as Student Chair in 2024, and we had record attendance, with over 1,100 community members participating throughout the day! That is a direct result of Tim’s leadership.”
For Tim, Science Rendezvous represents much more than just a volunteer opportunity; it serves as a catalyst for positive change.

Looking ahead, Tim is enthusiastic about his career prospects. “My involvement in Science Rendezvous has shown me that I love to work with children,” he shares. “I hope to pursue a career in medicine, and I may explore a specialty as a physician where I get to work with youth.”
