Alyssa Yang is a Master of Science Candidate at the University of Toronto. She has been involved with Science Rendezvous since 2017! "From the moment I joined as a standard volunteer, I knew this was an organization I wanted to be deeply involved with", she shared.

"The idea of a STEAM outreach event immediately caught my attention, and after learning more about it, I knew this was an organization I wanted to join and represent. Over the years, SR has grown exponentially, expanding its mission to promote STEAM to youth and marginalized communities, especially Indigenous communities. Additionally, SR continues to innovate and grow through projects like the Million Tree Project and SRHacks. Not to mention the utmost supporting team at SR National."

Alyssa has contributed in various roles over the years, including as a volunteer, executive member, head executive, and now as co-chair. Thank you for being an invaluable member of the Science Rendezvous community, Alyssa!

Meet Tim Igbokwe - a recent #UWindsor graduate and a passionate advocate for science education and outreach!

Tim's dedication to inspiring the next generation shines through his roles as a former volunteer and current coordinator for Let's Talk Science as well as student chair of Science Rendezvous Windsor in 2023 and 2024.

“My involvement in Science Rendezvous has shown me that I love to work with children,” Tim shares. He now hopes to pursue a career in medicine and is considering working with youth in the future. Regardless of the path he takes, we know that Tim is on a mission to make a difference!
